The Frenzy Cup will be held at Vista Heights Middle School in Saratoga Springs, Utah.

We love small sided tournaments and we are the only one sanctioned by UYSA this year. Small sided tournaments provide fantastic development. 

Here's how:

 1) More touches on the ball for the players. 

2) Smaller groups mean more goals will be scored and who doesn't love sending a ball to the back of the net? 

3) More decision making, creating more off-the-ball movement and game understanding. 

MATCH LENGTHS:

U8-U10 -Two 20 minute halves, with a 5 minute halftime

U11-U12 -Two 25 minute halves, with a 5 minute halftime

U13+ -Two 30 minute halves, with a 5 minute halftime    

Goalkeepers will be used in the 4v4 and 5v5 formats. Goalkeepers make 3-4 times as many saves in 5v5 than they do in 11v11. 

The modern game of soccer requires goalkeepers to be proficient with their feet due to the demonstrated benefits of building out of the back and possession-style soccer. Our formats encourage the use of the goalkeepers' feet by not placing restrictions on dropping the ball to the keeper as you see in 5v5 futsal rules. This provides many reps for teams playing back to their keepers, which helps teams and coaches have more confidence utilizing their keepers' feet, preparing them for their regular season.  

After your team has been accepted, we'll send you information on how to register your keeper to attend FRENZY WARS- a special event just for keepers!

Teams are welcome to wear creative uniforms at our tournament.  Just make sure to include player numbers that match your official roster. (If you aren't feeling creative or don't want to, don't feel bad! Teams are welcome to wear regular uniforms as well, we won't pick on you for that, we promise). Please send an official roster including guest players and photos (affinity works great) to lori@saratogaspringsfc.com, for approval.

We keep costs low, so you can register multiple teams, and get your players thousands of touches on the ball!

U8-U10: $300/team

U11-U12: $350/team

U13+ $400/team
